Canal Tour

One of the best-est things about touring is making new friends with cool and interesting people in different places.... So the other night we went to the world famous Paradiso club to see our bros The Cave Singers open for The Drive By Truckers and this guy who really digs our record introduced himself and offered to take us on a tour of Amsterdam through the canals in his boat. Joshua is an American ExPat that moved here 10 years ago from New York City (and he hasn't lost his awesome NY accent yet) with some buddies and they decided to pool their money and start a business hauling sunken boats out of the canals and fixing them up for resale. Now there is 10 or so "Captains" of these little boats and they offer daily tours of the city to anyone for FREE! they don't advertise or anything, they just have a little sign up sheet in the restaurant where they work or they offer it to bands they like when they come through town. These guys have Big hearts (for Americans) and it is so cool that they do this for people, The tour was almost 2 hours and we all had such an amazing time! THANKS JOSHUA!

Whenever something blows my mind i'll put it up here for you and if you dig it you can copy the link below the song and go buy it!

Back in Amsterdam

Just arrived back at the city that's starting to feel like a second home. This is our 3rd or 4th time staying at the back stage hotel here. the guys who run it are super great and all the rooms are built to look like road cases and back stage-ish. Gonna watch Conan the Barbarian, eat bagels, take a nap and check out the bar later...

Best picture ever..

Its kinda hard to see here, but take my word for it, it's my dads buddy in the 70's riding a moose through the lake. I guess they were fishing (and probably drinking) saw a moose crossing the lake and thought it'd be a great photo if they motor'd up beside it in the boat and jumped out onto its back. amazing....

happy bc day.
