Back in Canada! for a few days.... Ny was cool, but i go a little batty when i am there for more than a couple days, i like quiet places.... Boston town was killer but Portland Maine wins the brownie badge... i didn't even think there were 300 rocka's there, esp on a monday night. well done Maine. Picked up Chad, our trusty time tested crew guy  last night in Moncton. Once upon a time the coldplay lifer roadies berated him for loading gear in running shoes with a smoke in one hand and a beer in the other... thats why we love him. Chad will also be opening a bunch of the rest of the tour as Nordic Nomadic, his music is on myspace, dig it. Halifax tonight... they had a massive explosion there in the harbour once....

Snow Days.

Oh, east coast, we forgot about your insane weather.... lots of snow  last few days. Wash DC slayed except for the desk clerk at the hotel who refused to allow a late check out at noon. seriously, who does that? anyways, i threw up on their hotel, so we're even... another warm reception and great show at johnny brendas in philly and then a late night jaunt to jersey 'cause poor Remco, our beloved tour manager extrordinaire , and chris our pale skinned photographer volunteered to get up at 7 am to load into the conan obrian show whilst us delicate rockers slumbered till noon... thanks boys, bonus for you.... watched Rambo 4.... hung around NBC sudios at rockafeller plaza all afternoon. hair makeup, soundcheck... pleasently surprised to see conan playing an SG guitar while running through his rehearsals. the kid can play... played the show and the best part was they had "that guy" from every vegas big boxing match ever introduce us! "LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!" you know the guy. huge voice, great tan.... played a party in manhattan later last night and stepped out into a crazy snow storm... maids at hotels need to keep it down at 8am cause we gots to get our beauty sleep.... bowery ballroom tonight.

"What difference could it possibly make if crossed back and forth over this same mountain until doomsday? A mountain was a mountain, time was time, and route selection was route selection. The only thing that mattered was speed and ground made good. My destination was determined by time; the physical position of that ultimate destination was only incidental to my reason for being here. The frustration and mental torture i had been suffering were completely of my own making- and completely within my power to disregard." -words to tour by.

Desert vibes...

Been driving through the desert for 3 days... lots of bad music in the van, zoning out the window watching the alien rock formations and menacing plant life going by. Listening to audiobooks and eating yogurt is important these days. Austin represents on a sunday night for Blood on the wall, Black mountain and Dead Meadow, My bed is massive and white with a thousand pillows to sink into and Dallas looms ahead.
