Montreal trip sans band '09

So i decided to take a few days off and visit Montreal while not on a tour and i gotta say whatever 'magic' and mystery i thought that fair city had has since fled.... Not to say there wasn't some good stuff in there. The pirate museum in old Montreal was cool, they had some old pistols and swords and canons as well as some interesting nautical navigation tools from the old days.... breakfast at Josh's brothers restaurant was fantastic. if you are in montreal try and get a weekend brunch from Dylan at Griffintown cafe' in Griffintown down near the Habs stadium, it was amazing..... as usual watching the dungeons and dragons nerds battle it out on the mountain on sunday afternoon is always amazing. If people did that when i was 11 years old i would have been all over it, funny that there are more people there over the age of thirty than under, hmmmm...... Bagels from the bagel maison are still the best in the world.... we were turned onto a cool-ish little bar called the snack and blues where a little pygmy DJ that resembles miles davis plays weird sorta blues music and snacks are complimentary. Apparently it was a last bastion of smoking in bars in montreal and up until a few months ago they had bowls of cigarettes out on the tables for the patrons.....all in all, a nice place to visit but i wouldnt wanna live there......

Montreal Sept '09....
