Winter getaway...

Concert for INSITE.

After a long 9 months of touring it felt great to have our final show of the year be a free street party in support of Insite, Canada's only safe injection site.  Despite the rain,  a few thousand people came out to show their support and dig some free tunes and bbq.

last night we played at this outdoor block party hosted by the local bar "the hideout". we are all in rough shape after the spontaneous black mountain, neko case, and new pornographers dance party at the bar after. i tried to take pictures....

To say i was pleasantly surprised after seeing the New Pornographers for the first time would be a gross understatement. After neither seeing, nor hearing them before I have to say they were transcendental, ie. beyond any ordinary or common experience.  A damn fine show.
